Fresh Peach Salsa made with jalapeño, red onion, red pepper and summertime peaches. This homemade salsa recipe is a great peach chutney for grilled chicken or fish!
With temperatures reaching over 100 degrees last week-Summertime is officially here! With Summer comes lots of pool parties and beach trips; a great light snack to have for these events is fresh peach salsa and chips. The first time I had peach salsa was on Thai Chicken Nachoes. I fell in love instantly! It is a versatile dish that you can use with different types of recipes. It works well on grilled chicken, shrimp, and fish, or a salad as a dressing. It is a toss up for me whether jalapeno-pineapple or peach salsa is my favorite.
- 3 peaches
- 2 tablespoons cilantro
- Juice from one lime
- 1 small jalapeno
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- ¼ cup finely chopped red pepper
- Place two peaches, a de-seeded jalapeño, cilantro, honey, and juice from one lime in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is coarsely chopped. Don’t place everything in the blender are you will have liquified salsa. Finely chop the red onion, red pepper and the last peach and mix in after you use the food processor. Chill for 2 hours before serving cold.
