Do you want to know how to make your own homemade peanut butter? This recipe is easy and so simple. You can have your own homemade peanut butter today.
Homemade Peanut Butter is as simple as introducing your peanuts to your food processor. Five minutes later, you have peanut butter. Keep in mind, the peanut butter will not be as creamy and smooth as the store bought version because it is lacking the added oils.
The second picture above shows how after running the food processor for 1 minute you will have finely ground nuts. After two more minutes, it will begin to look like lumpy peanut butter. If you wish to add some peanut oil or add-in flavors to the peanut butter after three minutes is when you should do it. For this peanut butter, I decided not to add any oil because preheating the nuts in the oven beforehand helped to release the oils making the peanut butter creamier.
- 2 cups dry roasted salted peanuts
- Prep the ingredients: Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the dry roasted peanuts in the oven for no more than 10 minutes.
- Make the Peanut Butter: Place the peanuts in a food processor while they are still warm. Run the food processor for three minutes. Stop and scrape the sides of the food processor every minute. If you want to add peanut oil or add-in flavors, do this after the 3 minutes. Run the food processor for another 2 minutes.
- Transfer the Peanut Butter: Place the peanut butter in an airtight container and store in the fridge up to seven days.
